USF men's basketball finishes the regular season at home Saturday at 2pm as they take on the UConn Huskies. The Huskies are coming off a terrible offensive showing against Notre Dame, only scoring 50 points, the 2nd lowest of the season for them. Kemba Walker and Jerome Dyson were careless with the ball as the Irish were able to run up and down the court and get a much needed win without senior Harangody and may have burst UConn's NCAA Tournament bubble.
The Bulls on the other still have a slight chance at making to the NCAA tournament (with a bunch of help) or most likely the NIT tournament. A win over UConn, which has dominated the Bulls over the last 4 years, would be huge in league standings, moving the Bulls to .500 in conference play and boost the resume. The Bulls are having one of their best seasons, only 9 wins last year, Heath has put together a strong team but on senior night will see many of the parts leaving, Mike Mercer and Chris Howard are the two starters leaving and maybe even Dominique Jones if he decides to leave for the NBA as some have mentioned before. It is a critical game as the Huskies have their backs against the wall and the Bulls fighting for a birth and to cap off a great season. Hope everyone makes it out to the game and as always GO BULLS!
