Daniels has surgery
Well a bit of bad news for BJ Daniels who had surgery the other day to repair a torn rotator cuff in his non-throwing shoulder. He injured apparently while playing against Northern Illinois and it has not recovered on its own as the trainers had hoped for. The surgery went well and his shoulder is now in a sling, he is expected to be out at least 4-6 weeks. Yet Daniels should be able to return to spring practice and 7 on 7 scrimmages. Daniels is the starter coming in and should be able to mature even more this year, this time off hurts a bit, he might not play in the spring game, scheduled for March 17 according to gousfbulls.com but it is not a major concern at the very moment. 3 star recruit Gunsby, the only other QB that will be on the roster (Landii appears to be switching full time to wide receiver) will get most of the snaps and should be a good thing to help develop him as well as Daniels recovers. Hope he gets well soon and gets back on the field to continue to grow as our star.
